Unleavened Recipes
No-Bake Fudge Cookies
(variation on a recipe from Gladys Cormany)
(a recipe in 2 parts, prepared on top of stove)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
Bring these ingredients to a boil in a saucepan. Pour over the following ingredients in a bowl and stir until the chocolate chips melt.
- 2 cups quick oats, uncooked
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Allow to cool slightly, then drop by spoon on wax paper lined cookie sheet. Let stand until firm.
